National Teacher Appreciation Day

It’s probably been a while since you were last at school but you´ll likely never forget about of the teachers that made a make in your life. They left us with great lessons, some because they introduced the subject they were teaching to you with love and passion, and others might have given you a lesson beyond the subject, perhaps a lesson of love, commitment and values.

Did you know that political and educational leaders began discussions for a day to honor teachers in 1944?  In 1953, Eleanor Roosevelt persuaded the 81st Congress to proclaim National Teachers’ Day.   It wasn’t until 1985 when the National PTA established Teacher Appreciation Week as the first full week of May.

This is why through generations Teacher`s Appreciation Day is celebrated with great joy. There is always  a small but meaningful way to honor the teachers we revere and make them know how grateful we are for all their lasting contributions to our lives.

We all know, whether we are parents or not, how critical the role of a teacher is in every child’s life. Teachers help to develop not only good leaders and future governors or presidents of nations , but also people of ethics and honor with good values and respect.

Teaching requires not only understanding but passion, patience, love and a vow to be a great educator. Teachers are kind, hard-working, and unique. All of them are special as they have a very huge social responsibility once they decide to become a guide in our children’s lives. Lets thank them and remember that teachers are  part of who we have become as adults today.

At Hyleys we understand this and would like to honor all teachers for their hard work and dedication by creating a “Teacher Appreciation Sale”.  From now until June 7th enjoy up to 20% off on orders $40 or more. Please use code TEACHER17 at checkout.
